Physios use their knowledge and skills to improve a range of conditions associated with different systems of the body.

Physiotherapy is a 'hands on' manual therapy and one of the best scientifically proven approaches for the treatment of joints, muscles, tendons, nerves and ligaments. Physiotherapists assess and diagnose the problem, then plan and administer treatment and rehabilitation programmes that aim to restore function or minimise dysfunction after disease or injury.

Our Physiotherapy team are all highly qualified to degree level and are members of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy (CSP) and the Health Professionals Council (HPC). Through professional training, our Physiotherapists understand how and why structures move and why pain and injury occur.

Bradley Physio strive to improve an individual's quality of life by physical means. A combination of manual therapy, manipulation, movement training, exercise programmes, Pilates & Body Control and Acupuncture are used to relieve pain, promote healing and restore function. We also advise on preventative measures and will educate you on how to avoid recurrence of your problem.

On your first consultation, you will have a thorough assessment. This full assessment is to identify your problem and provide you with an accurate and thorough clinical diagnosis. Your condition will be explained, treatment, advice and appropriate home exercises will be given as necessary, and any of your questions answered.

Confidentiality, privacy, one to one attention and a high level of treatment skills, as well as direct / same day access to some of the North’s leading medical specialists and scanning facilities, form an integral part of the treatment process, should further medical/surgical intervention be required.

  • Spinal Manipulation and Mobilisation

Non-invasive 'hands on' techniques to create changes in the alignments of the joints. This aims to restore or improve joint movement & to promote healing and relieve pain. It is an extremely successful way of treating neck and back pain (inc.disc prolapse, sciatica, spondylosis, spondylitis), stiffness, headaches, arthritis, joint problems and whiplash

  • Soft Tissue Release/Massage Therapy

Including Sports Massage, Therapeutic Massage these are techniques used to alleviate muscle tensions, facilitate healing or simply aid recovery following strenuous sport or exercise activities.

  • Pilates/Core Stability Re-education

Pilates Body Control is a mind body conditioning exercise programme that targets the deep postural muscles of the abdomen and spine to improve overall central core stability & posture. As well as being a great way to exercise, pilates exercises will help with the long term relief of spinal and joint pain.

  • Rehabilitation Programmes

Closely supervised Rehabilitation programmes in our purpose built rehabilitation gym can offer not only an enhanced recovery process but will help to prevent recurrence and maximise your functional capacity and performance.

  • Acupuncture

Used to provide pain relief. Research has shown that it stimulates the brain to produce natural pain relieving chemicals called endorphins. When injury or illness arises, the flow of energy around the body becomes disturbed. Using the very fine needles inserted into acupuncture points, it aims to re-balance the flow of energy.

  • Electrotherapy

Sophisticated electronic and electrical equipment can be used in a variety of treatments. Electrotherapy machines include ultra-sound, interferential therapy, tens and traction to assist with promoting the healing process, providing pain relief and reducing swelling and inflammation.

  • Injection Therapy

Some of our staff are qualified to administer corticosteroid injections which may be used to aid treatment and rehabilitation of inflammatory disorders particularly: bursitis, tendonitis and arthritic joints.

  • Chest/Respiratory Physiotherapy

Techniques are available to help patients with breathing problems to enhance and control their breathing
